Lava Lamp

 Science experiment:

Lava Lamp

This was a super easy and impressive experiment with common items you'll find at your house.

You'll need:
-Water Bottle
-Food Coloring
-Vegetable Oil
-Water
-Alka Seltzer

Directions:

Fill your bottle 3/4 full with vegetable oil.  In a bowl mix your water and food coloring together.  Pour the water mixture into the bottle.  Break a alka seltzer tablet into several pieces.  Add a couple pieces at a time and watch the fun start.

After we were done I put the lid on the bottle to save our mixture so we can try again later. We got our inspiration for today's project fromJuggling with kids.

  6. That looks easy enough that I couldn't mess it it! Thanks for sharing this. Is this something you can reuse or do you have to start over with new materials each time?

  16. The learning is neat, but the color...not so much. You're always doing something fun with your kids.
