Lesson Age 4 – Week 44Number Stairs and Counting
Today we tried counting a different way. Taking 55 beans we make stairs with our beans by placing 1 bean on row 1, on row 2 add 2 beans, row 3 add 3 beans, and so on creating stairs with the last row with 10 beans. Using squares would have looked more like squares, but ours still looked interesting ending up in a triangle pattern. After I helped with the first 3 row, Fluttershy got the idea how to do it and finished the rest on her own.
Today's activity develops:
- more awareness of counting consecutively
- more awareness of one more as numbers increase
- skill in placing numbers in numerical order
