Imaginary Sensory Bin

Creative sensory bins

Although this was a simple sensory bin where I basically just through a little of everything in it, it really got them creating their own fun.  I happened to be making lunch when they were playing with it.  I set it up in the kitchen area so I could watch them while I worked and they sorted everything making piles and talking about colors too.  When I stepped over to check on them I found the pasta's stuck on their fingers.  They called them their creepy fingers.  I guess they thought they looked like witched fingers.  Open ended activities are the best to teach creative and imaginary play.
