Weekly Wrap-Up
Since this was a holiday week we only got to a few fun activities. This week we did our Elemental Science unit on Air. Our goal this week was to learn what air is and can do. My girls were so very delighted to see that our activities included a balloon. One of our activities included blowing up a balloon and letting it go letting the air propel it all around the room. A couple of the picture above are of their delighted faces as I let the balloon go. We made a puffy pillow with a baggy, straw, and tissue paper confetti and watched the tissue paper swirl around as Fluttershy blew through the straw. The jar picture was proving how the paper didn't get wet because their was a pocket of air that kept it dry when we completely submerged the jar under the water. And our last activity was the book drop. As we dropped the book over the torn newspapers, the newspapers scattered from the air current from dropping the book.
On Thanksgiving we made bird feeders and cute little turkeys.
