Salt Painting
What you'll need:
Elmer's Glue
Salt
Water Paint
Thick paper
1- Create a fun design with your Elmer's glue.
2- Sprinkle salt over the Elmer's glue.
3- Hold the paper up to shake off the excess salt.
4- Water down your water colors and fill a dropper or syringe.
5- Carefully drop your colors onto the salt designs. The salt will wick up the paint and spread it.
6- Let it dry.
This is a very easy and fun art project that a preschooler can do with just little help.

FUN! I would totally have done this with my girls when they were younger. Heck, I might do it with my seventeen year old anyway. ;)
ReplyDeleteI have seen this done before, each time I see it I think my kids would have fun with that. We mostly use glue sticks and the other day I bought white glue and was thinking I saw a craft that I needed white glue for and was trying to remember what the craft was for, now you have jogged my memory!!! Thanks for posting!!
ReplyDeleteI love this and I think I am going to try it tomorrow with 3 of my children. I don't have droppers though.... it could be tricky. I will figure something out I am sure! Your photos do this project justice and are just so cute!
