Hide and Seek Play Dough

Week 8: Day 2

We started our day with 20 minutes of reading. Next we watched the Starfall calendar. Starfall is a great site for teaching lettters and their sounds, months, and days of the week. They also have on their site, interactive videos for every letter of the alphabet.

Fine Motor Skills:

• I hid 10 coins in the play dough and asked Fluttershy to retrieve all 10.
  
• Next I had her count them.
• Then she sorted them into the different coin types.

Coloring Page:

One of the books that we are reading this week is Hop on Pop so

our coloring page was a picture of Hop on Pop.

Spacial Activity:

--Using the Duplo Blocks I stacked three blocks and asked the following questions.

• Which block is on top, middle, bottom?

--The next part of the activity I had fluttershy tell me about what she does when she gets up. (Helping her learn order.)

--Last we took our flashlights into a dark room and learned about on and off. This part was Rarity's favorite part. She had so much fun with the flashlight that she held on to it for the rest of the day.

Pre-Writing Skills:
Here Fluttershy is working on diagonal lines and tracing squares.
