Letter A

While Fluttershy works on her school, Rarity has her own preschool activities to do if she wants.  This week we worked on letter A.  Activities we did included: Roll an ant, puzzles, upper and lower case A ant match, shape match, magnetic pom pom letter A, pom pom sorting, and graphing, Line art, and lacing.

K Week 1

Kindergarten Week 1

What a fun 1^st week we’ve had.  Everything went fairly smooth.  It will take a bit of time to get back into the groove of school, but I think it went well. We are still waiting for our math program so this week we just worked on addition with the abacus.  Fluttershy really enjoys the abacus so this was fine with her.

Antelope Island

August 12 we went camping on Antelope Island to watch the meteor shower Ant

Aerospace Museum

 

We took a trip to the Aerospace Museum after Daniels work picnic.  The girls were impressed by how big the planes were.  The last picture is of the  F-16 which is the plane that Daniel works on at Hill Air Force Base. 

2013-2014 Curriculum

For Kindergarten, our plans are to have a strong focus on the 3R's with some extras thrown in for fun. We'll will keep lessons short and enjoyable. Fluttershy really enjoys learning and I want her love of learning to continue to grow. She's very ambitious and really has enjoyed everything we did in Preschool. She's is really looking forward to Kindergarten.
