K Week 5

 DSC_0348  K Week 5

Math:  The great thing about Saxon in the early grades is it is so hands on.  This week our lessons used linking cubes and stuffed animals.  Lesson 9 covered order sets from smallest to larges using linking cubes.  Lesson 10 was an assessment. Lesson 11 she practiced writing number 10, identifying morning and afternoon, identifying first, last, and between.  Lesson 12 was writing number 11, and acting out some, some more and some, some went away stories using stuffed animals.  Basically playing link her stuffed animal friends were getting on and off of a train.  Fun stuff. She loved it and kept wanting more stories. DSC_0359

Writing: Lesson 112 she reviewed words the oo sound with a silly story she loved. Lesson 113 taught the vowed pair oo as in book. Lesson 114 was sight words could, would, and should. Fluttershy is doing awesome with her reading.  She even begs to read the instructors section of our lessons.  I tell her “be my guest, go right a head”.  I’m delight to see her take right off on reading.
