Lesson Age 4 - Week 37
Here is a fun activity to help with gross motor skills.
Place a mark on the floor, we used an X with painters tape, for a target for the ball. Tell them to drop the ball on the mark and catch it when it comes back up. As they get better at catching have them count their catches.
As Fluttershy worked on this activity she started getting so much better at catching. She was really excited every time she caught her ball, she would cheer for herself. She was so cute.
This activity teaches:
- gross motor skills
- counting
- skill in keeping the eyes on a moving target
- skill in the timing of when to catch the ball
- confidence
