Camping in the Uinta's 2012

Camping in the Uinta's

Over the past 10 days we've been camping and having a lot of fun.  We have fished, 4-wheeled, and hiked.  The only thing we missed this year was the camp fires which were banned in back country camping because of the dry season.   We camped little distance from a designated  campground so we headed over one evening to roast marshmallows. Sadly I forgot to camera.

The girls had so much fun.  A lot of their time was spent digging in the sand that Uncle Gerald had brought bucket by bucket from the road outside of camp.  During our trip We road on some amazing all day 4-Wheeler trips.  In the picture below we were on the Wild cat trail.  A fun trail that has board walks and amazing views. By this point of our trip we were nice and dirty from all the dust. On our way to the Wild cat trail we stopped at Lily lake for a break and some pretty pictures.  (of that lake that is)  We definitely could use some cleaning up.

This poor little guy wandered into the wrong place, which happened to be our tent.  Daniel helped him out and let the girls get a good look at our chipmunk friend before giving him a nut and letting him go.  These little guys were everywhere.  Really enjoying all the free treats my girls left all around.

This was taken at Lym Lake.  One of our 4-wheeler day trips.

We visited old cabins and looked for treasures.  The real treasures were the cabins which are over 100 years old.  Some many more.
