This week in math we took a break from Math Mammoth to play several games the teaches adding to 5. The first one is “5 out”, which is a card game. Instead of finding a pair like go fish we have to find cards that add up to 5 which makes a match. Another game we played was “some went hiding”. Using 5 gems, we would take turns removing 1-5 gems while the other was closing their eyes, and then guessing how many gems went hiding. All these games are to help Fluttershy learn her 5 addition facts. She loved this and we’ll continue playing these games with other numbers as well as we reach them in Math Mammoth.
For cooking this week, Fluttershy make Noodle Pudding from our Pretend Soup recipe book. Fluttershy also finished 4 lessons in OPGTR.
Rarity had fun with our linking cubes. Look how she built her a huge cube. Oh and she loved playing with stickers this week.
