Math- This week Fluttershy learned her double plus one facts.  In example 5+6 =, we first identified which number was lower.  This number we double (5+5=10), we then add 1 to it to get the answer 5+6=11. 

Monday- Showing doubles plus one facts

Tuesday- Identifying the doubles plus one facts

Wednesday- Learning the double plus one facts

Thursday- Learning the double plus one facts

Friday- Assessment

Science- Traveling sound.  For this week we learned that sound follows a straight light. To show this we made a “party line” with two cups and a piece of yarn.  When the line is tight and we talk in one cup, you can hear the sound in the other cup.  Our second activity this week was called “warble gizmo”. Made with a aluminum can, water, string, and spoon.  When the can was filled part way up with water, it made a fun sound when the can was tapped on the side. 

Art- Making paint from nature.  Using cinnamon, paprika, and powder mustard, we were able to make our own paints. 

Writing- Letter Bb
