  Lesson Pathways:
Letter A
Apple painting

Today's Lesson Pathways lesson was the letter A:

Letter A coloring Page

Print out this short book of things that start with the letter A and read the book together.

 Alphabet Book- Letter A
Look at the capital A and lowercase a that was written on the alphabet book in the introduction to this lesson. Talk about words that start with the letter A. Search through magazines and catalogs to find pictures of apples and other things that begin with the letter A. Cut them out and glue them to the page. Be sure to look through the previous pages of the alphabet book and talk about the letters.

 Apple Tasting
Taste a few different kinds of apples

 Sensory Activity
letter A in it using his or her finger.

Can you tell by the look on her face that she was enjoying herself.  Fluttershy played with the applesauce for for almost 30 minutes straight.  My little 2 year old was at nap during this.  I thought she would have been the one who would love this activity the most.  I was pleasantly surprised however, that my 4 year old would love this so much.

Cut apples in half, pour the paint onto plate and get stampin'.
We just used the shape of the apple, but it also suggest cutting it into shapes too.

From this link you'll find lots of Letter A videos
from sesame street.  We watched several of them.
